About this machine:
Before delivery of the machine it was converted from the EVO-IR-400, which is an infrared only sorting machine, to the EVO MIR 4 which is an infrared and color sorting machine. Satake has all of the change-over information and can provide it if needed.

According to the Satake applications tech, this machine is designed for sorting tree nuts and groundnuts including pecans, peanuts, walnuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pine nuts and more.

The max sorting capacity for this machine depends on nut type and size. For information purposes I inquired about pecans as this is the commodity that ran through it. For pecan halves, this machine is rated at a max output of 1200 to 1400 pounds per chute, per hour. This is a four-chute machine so it is rated between 4800 and 5600 total pounds per hour. For large pieces, the machine is rated for a total of 3200 pounds per hour. Medium pieces are rated at a total of 1600 pounds per hour, and small pieces are rated at a total of 1200 pounds per hour. One can assume the other types of nuts will have a similar output capacity.

Spare parts are available through Satake and will be for years to come.
